MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

“I have the pleasure to speak about the NEW CENTURY II BILINGUAL SCHOOL (NC.II.BS).

NEW CENTURY II BILINGUAL SCHOOL is a school that is unique in its style and practices, judging by its very special bilingualism.

Schoolchildren learn in both languages, French and English, with two teachers in charge, and each one teaches according to the language he or she knows best. Therefore, we can safely affirm that there is a prevailing conducive teacher-learner environment.

From the motto of our beloved school “Work–Discipline–Quality”, we would say that it is our zeal for hard work, the consciousness of the task that each one of us is all responsible for, and all these being done in a disciplined manner that makes us a school of high standard of quality education.

The objectives that underpinned the creation of the New Century II Bilingual School remain:
• To develop quality education through integral bilingualism;
• To groom young Cameroonians from their earliest years in a total bilingualism, in order to make them perfectly bilingual citizens;
• Create a framework where students and teachers can work in harmony;
• Empowering teachers to devote themselves conscientiously to their work and to contribute to the well-being of all.

All the above has led to various stakeholders namely parents, students, teachers, resource persons and the executive committee to work in symbiosis to make our school a friendly, fraternal environment or in short, the place to be.”

Mme DANOU Honorine Frankorelle,
Director of NEW CENTURY II BILINGUAL SCHOOL.

  • The teachings of our experienced, qualified, competent and efficient pedagogic and administrative team;

  • Our high standard of quality education across an integral bilingualism program, from their very tender ages;

  • We groom them to become useful, not only to themselves, but also to their communities as a whole;

  • Our well-equipped school library and language laboratory, which continuously develop a reading culture in our pupils;

  • Our spacious, clean, well-lit and ventilated classrooms, which favors a healthy and conducive teacher-learner environment;

  • Self-actualization opportunities and resources management skills, time management in particular, while building up self-confidence in our pupils.
  • Work-Discipline-Quality is the motto of our school with its main objectives being to promote bilingualism and train young Cameroonian citizens for their socio-cultural and professional integration.
    As far as the school curriculum is concerned, lessons are taught simultaneously in the two official languages, French and English. We have harmonised the curricula, and we spare no effort to ensure a high standard of quality education in our institution. Our curricula are in line with the competency-based approach laid down by our hierarchy. It uses an integrated set of resources in solving problematic situations.
    In accordance with the action plan elaborated by the Ministry of Basic Education, the school provides the staff and parents with a calendar containing the dates of the activities to be carried out throughout the year to enable them to follow-up permanently, the pedagogic and extracurricular activities of the learners (cf. http://newcenturyschoolssystem.education/academic-calendar/).
    As far as the recruitment of teachers is concerned, any person, regardless of gender or tribe, holding a Capiem diploma, can apply to the New Century II Bilingual School. We organize recruitment in August, by way of a written and oral test in mathematics and French or English.
