LIFE AT NEW CENTURY SCHOOLS

SCHOOL IS WHERE

CHILDREN SPEND MOST OF THEIR TIME.

NEVER REGRET ANY DAY OF YOUR LIFE, BECAUSE

GOOD DAYS BRING YOU HAPPINESS,

BAD DAYS GIVE YOU EXPERIENCE

AND

WORSE DAYS GIVE YOU A LESSON.

THESE ARE ALL ESSENTIALS IN LIFE.

NCSS has specially designed permanent infrastructure that adequately addresses the needs of our students.

We own a canteen, well-equipped computer laboratories, as well as science laboratories, libraries and a sports complex.

We own a canteen that caters for the feeding needs of our three schools on a daily basis.

A team of hired professionals, whose health status is regularly checked and tracked by the school officials to ensure that any food being served is healthy, prepares food at the central unit of the canteen for our schools.

Once food is ready, a dedicated team of drivers on stand-by dispatches the food to our different schools under safe and healthy conditions. The canteen catering service prepares a completely different food menu for per school, daily.

Over the years, our school canteen has grown in leaps and bounds such that it now offers catering services at affordable prices to the public.

The canteen serves breakfast and lunch on a daily basis in all our three schools to the following two categories of students:
• On–the-spot buyers;
• Subscribers (those who subscribe for a particular amount and are served food daily -excluding Saturdays and Sundays).

Our school canteen has a sophisticated kitchen with facilities that can preserve food to guarantee consistency in quality. The canteen is spacious enough to guarantee the comfort of students during meals.
Our dream has always been to endow our schools with a befitting sports complex that can accommodate both indoor and outdoor games.

It is by virtue of this dream that we are currently constructing a sports complex that will take:
• A mini stadium
• A dressing room
• A basketball and likely a lawn tennis complex
• A canteen ( we intend to use the present canteen as an enlargement of the multipurpose hall when the sports complex will have been completed)

It is our wish that upon completion, this complex should provide an avenue
for students to freely exercise their passion in the different disciplines and harness their talents for better exposure.
Our libraries supply students with books in the official program approved by the examination board and relating to sciences, the literary world, and discoveries. However, the libraries in the primary sections have books mostly related to kids’ world that initiate them into the world of science, creative writing and current events. The libraries are equipped with bookshelves where books are displayed according to the different categories, for easy access.

Each of the three school libraries has a librarian who works on permanent basis to ensure the smooth running of the libraries. Our librarians take refresher courses every year to better cater for the needs of students. In the absence of any sponsors, we update our libraries on a yearly basis solely funded by our Executive Office.

At New Century Schools, we encourage the culture of reading and research. This is the reason why we award prizes to students, who read the highest number of books from the library, at our end-of-year prize award ceremony.
Outside the intense academic activities, our secondary school students engage in extracurricular activities with the aim of gaining self-esteem and confidence, and developing their leadership and teamwork abilities.

We inculcate in our students the notion according to which success in life should not only rely on academic activities, but also on a blend of both academic and extracurricular activities, which should give students a more open and dynamic approach to challenges they are likely to face in life.

We get our students to participate in any of the following clubs, according to their center of interest, with the intention of identifying and harnessing talents to give them the required exposure:
• The Music Club;
• The Journalism, Drama and Arts Club;
• The Science and Technology Club;
• The Dance Club (traditional and folkloric);
• The Sports Club.
